Infrastructure design for 8 property self-build residential development of Beighton Road, Woodhouse, Sheffield.

Working with Tribeka Developments Ltd and Davey, Stone and Larter, G30 Consulting Ltd were commissioned to undertake the infrastructure design works for the 8no unit self-building residential development off Beighton Road, Woodhouse, Sheffield.

The site presented a lot of challenges sloping steeply away from Beighton Road with an average slope of 6.5%. The drainage design also required works within third party land to discharge to adopted Yorkshire Water assets.

G30 Consulting assisted during the tendering process providing the Client and Project Management team with potential value engineer options including large diameter prefabricated manholes / pipework and alternative suppliers.

Working closely with the Client, Sheffield Council Highways and Yorkshire Water the following works were delivered:

  • Section 38 highway approval package with Sheffield Council Highways for the adoption of the new access road.
  • Section 104 drainage approval package with Yorkshire Water for the adoption of the new combined, foul and surface water drainage system.
  • Private externals, levels and drainage package.

Works on site are due to commence in May 2017.
